Davor was a great guide for my first dive in a year. We had bad luck with ocean conditions but he was able to find a work around so I could get into the water. Definitely recommended and La Jolla is a great place for diving if you like critters.
We were fortunate to have an amazing day out, saw sharks and octopus and tons of other stuff.
Davor was an amazing guide, very focused, safe, and extremely good at explaining the dive plan and what to expect. I’ll definitely take classes from him if I have the opportunity to do so!
I recently finished my NAUI Open Water with Davor and my experience exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From contacting Davor with inquiries about how to start the process of getting NAUI certified to working with him to schedule my private certification dives, his personable but professional approach to diving was evident from the beginning. I shared with him that I chose NAUI over PADI due to the added safety training that NAUI offers and that I will likely be using my dive skills in a scientific context as I am an early career oceanographer. To my delight, he catered our sessions to these aspects of safety and scientific application and went out of his way to incorporate my interests into the trainings and our dives. As far as the dives themselves - Davor knew how to balance his roles as guide and instructor and went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and enjoying the learning curve that is diving for the first time. I enjoyed every minute of my experience as his student, have already been in contact with him regarding future diving and equipment purchasing, and plan to stay in touch with him over the years as I continue my diving journey!
